Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in Texas

Brownsville, TX – Man Loses Life in Pedestrian Crash on Minnesota Ave near Padre Island HighwayAround 60 people lose their lives every month in pedestrian accidents across the state of Texas. There are many cases where these accidents are entirely preventable. Unfortunately, we continue to see people lose their lives as a result of drivers who are speeding, failing to yield the right-of-way to pedestrians in crosswalks and intersections, and drivers who are distracted by their cell phones.

When drivers engaged in reckless and negligent actions while operating their vehicles, they placed the lives of everyone in the area at risk. Unfortunately, pedestrians are unprotected during accidents and are more likely to suffer significant injuries. When innocent people lose their lives as a result of motor vehicle accidents, their families are often forced to endure overwhelming financial consequences. Dealing with tens of thousands of dollars in medical expenses, funeral arrangement costs, and other end-of-life expenses can be quite challenging. The financial burdens just make the mental and emotional impacts even worse.
