Carthage, TX – Aaron Allen Loses Life in Head-On Collision on US-79

Carthage, TX (January 7, 2022) – One man has lost his life following a motor vehicle accident in the Carthage area on Wednesday morning, January 5. At around 8:45 a.m., authorities were requested on-site at a crash on US Highway 79.

Reports from authorities show that 31-year-old Aaron Allen was driving west on US Highway 79 when his 2001 Chevrolet Corvette collided head-on with a 2012 Ford F-250.

Allen was pronounced deceased at the scene due to his injuries.

The driver of the Ford, 74-year-old Dale Eldredge, and his passenger, 61-year-old Amanda Duckworth, were both transported to a hospital in Henderson for the treatment of critical injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
