Chapel Hill, TX (January 17, 2022) – An auto accident reported on Friday in the Chapel Hill area claimed one man’s life. At around 5:55 p.m., on January 14, emergency crews were requested on-site at a crash on Texas State Highway 64.
Reports from local authorities show that 46-year-old Juan Gabriel Gonzalez was driving a 2020 Dodge Ram pickup truck while pulling a trailer northwest on Texas State Highway 64 when his vehicle collided with a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder.
The driver of the Nissan, 39-year-old Clinton Andrews, sustained fatal injuries in the accident. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Gonzalez and two female passengers in the Nissan, ages 13 and 14, were all transported to area hospitals for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
