Como, TX (April 9, 2022) – An auto wreck reported in Hopkins County has claimed the life of one teen. Just after 5:20 p.m., on April 4, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident on Texas State Highway 11.
Reports provided by authorities show that a 45-year-old woman was driving a 2018 Ford F-150 west on Texas State Highway 11 when her vehicle became involved in a c collision with a 2016 Ford F-150 that was towing a trailer near Farm to Market Road 69. The 2018 Ford then continued forward and struck a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica, which was driven by a 32-year-old man. The 2018 Ford then rolled over and came to rest in a ditch before catching on fire.
The driver of the 2018 Ford and her two daughters, ages 15 and 9, were transported to area hospitals for care. The 15-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries after arriving.
No other injuries were reported in the accident.
