Corsicana, TX – Charles “Chubby” Herrera Killed in Crash on Seventh Ave between S 15th St & S 20th St

Corsicana, TX (October 16, 2021) – One man has lost his life following a pedestrian accident early Thursday morning in Corsicana. At around 7 a.m., on October 13, emergency crews were notified that a crash required assistance on Seventh Avenue.

Reports from authorities show that 63-year-old Charles “Chubby” Herrera was walking on Seventh Avenue, in the area between South 15th Street and South 20th Street.

For unknown reasons, a vehicle passed through the area and struck Herrera. The man suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased by responding authorities.

At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

No other injuries were reported.
