Dallam, TX (April 23, 2022) – Authorities were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident in Dallam County that claimed one man’s life. At around 8:15 a.m., on April 22, calls for assistance came in surrounding an auto accident on US Highway 87.
Reports provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety show that a 58-year-old man was driving a 2001 Peterbilt truck tractor-trailer on US Highway 87 while towing a semi-trailer. As the vehicle attempted to turn into a private driveway, it became involved in a crash with a 2006 Toyota Tacoma.
The driver of the Tacoma, a 39-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
