Ector, TX (February 10, 2022) – An auto accident reported in Ector County on Sunday morning claimed one person’s life while leaving two others injured. At around 2:20 a.m., on February 6, emergency crews were notified that a multi-vehicle collision took place on Farm to Market Road 2020.
Reports from authorities show that 44-year-old Aidee Patino was driving a vehicle east on Farm to Market Road 2020 when their vehicle collided with an eastbound vehicle driven by 58-year-old Socorro Mendoza.
The impact of the crash then caused Patino’s vehicle to cross over to the westbound lanes and collide with two other vehicles, driven by 23-year-old Amairany Flores and 30-year-old Kirsten Myers.
Flores sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. A passenger in her vehicle, 24-year-old Alan Valenzuela, and Patino were both transported to Medical Center Hospital for emergency care.
At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with Aidee Patino and Alan Valenzuela at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of Amairany Flores. Our thoughts are with them at this time.
Fatal Car Accidents in Texas
There is nothing more devastating than the loss of a loved one in a Texas car accident. These crashes happen very suddenly and unexpectedly. In 2020, nearly 4,000 people lost their lives due to accidents on our roadway. Each crash must be carefully investigated by authorities to determine the cause. Most car accidents will be caused by the negligence of at least one motorist.
If you have been personally affected by an Ector car accident, you could have valuable legal rights. Texas law allows family members to file claims on behalf of their loved ones who have been killed in a crash. If the crash was someone else’s fault, you should immediately seek counsel in order to understand and protect your rights. This includes the right to seek compensation from the driver that caused the accident.
