Edinburg, TX (December 27, 2021) – An auto accident reported in Edinburg on Saturday morning claimed one victim’s life. At around 2:30 a.m., on December 25, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on East Trenton Road.
Reports from local authorities show that a pickup truck was traveling west on East Trenton Road when it crossed over the center lanes and struck a Nissan Sentra head-on.
The driver of the Nissan was severely injured in the crash. EMS transported the victim to Edinburg Regional Hospital where they were pronounced deceased.
Two other people in the Nissan were injured. Both victims were transported to area hospitals for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
