El Paso, TX – Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle near Rio Grande St & Octavia St

El Paso, TX (May 11, 2022) – An automobile accident that occurred on Sunday evening in the central El Paso area has claimed one man’s life. Just before 7 p.m., on May 8, the El Paso Police Department was dispatched to the scene of an auto accident on Rio Grande Street.

Reports provided by the police show that a 38-year-old man was attempting to cross Rio Grande Street at the intersection of Octavia Street during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, the man was struck by a Chevrolet Cobalt, which was traveling eastbound on Rio Grande Street.

The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries as a result of the accident. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding officers.

At this time, investigations surrounding the cause of the crash are underway.
