Ellis County, TX (December 23, 2021) – An accident reported early Monday morning claimed one woman’s life. At around 3 a.m., on December 20, calls for assistance came in surrounding an accident on Interstate 45.
Reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety show that a female driver was traveling north on Interstate 45 when her SUV collided with an 18-wheeler near the exit for Palmer.
The woman was ejected from her vehicle. AS a result of the accident, the woman suffered fatal injuries. Authorities responded to the scene and pronounced her deceased.
Emergency crews closed off the roadway for over 3.5 hours as they worked to clear the scene and investigate. At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are ongoing.
