Grand Prairie, TX (March 17, 2022) – Two people have lost their lives as a result of a motor vehicle accident in the Grand Prairie area on Monday afternoon. At around 12 p.m., on March 14, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a traffic-related incident on Highway 287.
Reports from authorities show that a semi-truck tractor-trailer and two cars were involved in an accident on the southbound side of Highway 287. The incident caused severe delays in the area between Texas State Highway 360 and Prairie Ridge Boulevard.
A total of two people sustained fatal injuries as a result of the accident. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The police closed off a portion of the highway for more than five hours as they worked to clear the scene and investigate. Investigations surrounding the accident are currently ongoing.
