Grandfalls, TX – Man Dies in Serious Motorcycle Crash on TX-18

Grandfalls, TX (March 30, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Sunday in Ward County claimed one man’s life. On March 27, emergency crews were called to the site of a motor vehicle accident on Texas State Highway 18.

Reports provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety show that a 70-year-old man was driving a pickup truck around a curved area of Texas State Highway 18.

The vehicle collided with a second pickup truck. A motorcyclist traveling in the area laid down his bike to avoid being harmed in the crash.

Gallegos sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The motorcyclist, a 49-year-old man, and the driver of the second pickup truck, a 64-year-old man, were both transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
