Grimes County, TX (February 18, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Tuesday in Grimes County has claimed one man’s life. On February 15, emergency crews were notified that a major accident took place on Farm to Market Road 39 that required assistance.

Reports show that 77-year-old Charles McDuffie was driving a farm tractor in the area of Farm to Market Road 39 and County Road 169 when his vehicle was struck by a train.

McDuffie sustained severe injuries in the accident. Emergency crews arrived to treat the man. However, he was pronounced deceased on-site.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
