Hale County, TX (November 27, 2021) – One man has lost his life following a motor vehicle accident in Hale County on Wednesday morning, November 24. At around 11:41 a.m., on Farm to Market Road 179.
Reports from authorities show that 65-year-old Rodolfo Garcia was driving a semi-truck south on Farm to Market Road 179. At the same time, 40-year-old Matthew Cy Jackson was traveling was driving a second semi-truck on the roadway. As Garcia attempted to turn left onto County Road 195, his vehicle collided with Jackson’s truck.
The impact of the crash caused Jackson’s vehicle to roll over. Jackson sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Garcia was transported to Covenant Plainview for care. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
