Hale County, TX (May 27, 2022) – A crash involving a tractor in Hale County on Wednesday evening has claimed one man’s life, according to reports. On May 25, the Texas Department of Public Safety was dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Farm to Market Road 54.
Reports provided by DPS indicate that a 72-year-old man was driving a pickup truck along the highway when he became involved in a collision with a tractor near County Road BB.
The pickup truck driver suffered fatal injuries as a result of the accident and was declared deceased at the scene.
The driver of the tractor, a 55-year-old, was transported to UMC in Lubbock for the treatment of injuries.
At this time, investigations surrounding the crash are underway by DPS.
