Harris County, TX (December 21, 2021) – An auto accident reported in Harris County early Sunday morning has claimed one woman’s life. At around 5 a.m., on December 19, calls for assistance came in surrounding an accident on Settlers Village Drive.
Reports from local authorities show that 28-year-old Pedro Martinez was driving east on Farm to Market Road 529 when he ran a red light at the intersection of Settlers Village Drive. As a result, his vehicle crashed into a second vehicle at the intersection.
The female driver of the second victim sustained fatal injuries in the accident. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Martinez was subsequently arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
