Hockley County, TX (December 22, 2021) – An auto accident reported in Hockley County claimed one woman’s life, according to reports. At around 6:30 a.m., on December 20, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a crash on Farm to Market Road 1585.
Reports from authorities show that a vehicle was traveling east on Farm to Market Road 1585 when it crossed over the center line and collided with a westbound vehicle.
The driver of the westbound vehicle, 64-year-old Linda Redeker, was fatally injured in the accident. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle, 45-year-old Gerry Varner, sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to University Medical Center for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
