Houston, TX (December 17, 2021) – A young child has passed away from her injuries following a motor vehicle accident on Saturday in Tyler. On December 11, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Cullen Boulevard.
Reports from the police show that a black Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling west on Schurmier Road. For unknown reasons, it ran a stop sign and t-boned a Dodge Dart at the intersection of Cullen Boulevard.
The driver and a 7-year-old male passenger in the Dodge were both transported to area hospitals with injuries.
A 7-year-old female passenger in the Dodge was rushed to Memorial Herrmann in the Texas Medical Center for the treatment of critical injuries. Authorities confirmed that the young child passed away from her injuries on Monday, December 13.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation.
