Houston, TX (October 13, 2021) – One person has lost their life following a collision in the Houston area on Saturday evening, October 9. Just before 5 p.m., the Houston Police Department responded to the scene of a crash on Bingle Drive.
Reports from authorities show that 23-year-old Jose Arturo Ramos was traveling north on Bingle Drive in a red Dodge Dakota pickup truck. For unknown reasons, the vehicle collided with a silver Toyota Rav4.
The impact of the crash caused the Dodge to go airborne. The vehicle then struck a tree. The Dodge then bounced back into the road and collided with the Toyota a second time.
Ramos was ejected from his vehicle. He was rushed to a local hospital for care. A passenger in the vehicle was declared deceased at the scene.
Neither person in the Toyota sustained injuries.
Ramos was subsequently arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
