Houston, TX – Motorcycle Wreck on Southlea St near Martin Luther King Blvd Takes One Life

Houston, TX (July 7, 2022) – A motorcycle accident reported in the Houston area on Tuesday claimed one man’s life. At around 6:10 p.m., on July 5, the Houston Police Department responded to the scene of a crash that took place on Southlea Street.

Reports provided by authorities show that a 43-year-old man was riding a black Kawasaki motorcycle South in the 6400 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard. As a vehicle approached the intersection of Southlea Street, it collided with a red Dodge pickup truck.

The motorcyclist was ejected from his vehicle as a result of the impact.

The rider suffered significant injuries and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital for emergency medical care. Authorities confirm that the victim passed away after arriving.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
