Houston, TX (February 22, 2022) – An early-morning crash in the Houston area claimed one person’s life on Sunday, February 20.
At around 3 a.m., the Houston Police Department was requested on-site at a crash on Interstate 610.
Reports from the police show that a semi-truck was traveling south on Interstate 610 when it became involved in a collision with a white SUV. The SUV then continued forward and crashed into a road barrier. The vehicle then caught on fire.
The driver of the SUV became trapped inside their vehicle and was partially crushed. Firefighters rushed to the scene to extricate the victim. However, they passed away from their injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
