Houston, TX (January 29, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Houston area has claimed one person’s life. At around 4:30 a.m., on January 28, emergency crews were called to the site of an accident on US Highway 59, the Southwest Freeway.

Reports from authorities show that a rear-end collision between a semi-truck and a sports car occurred on the highway in the area near West Bellfort Avenue.

The driver of the sedan suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
