Houston, TX (January 31, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Friday evening in the Houston area has claimed one man’s life. At around 11:50 p.m., on January 28, the Houston Police Department was dispatched to a crash on Cullen Boulevard.
Reports from the HPD show that a 76-year-old man was attempting to cross the roadway in the 7400 block of Cullen Boulevard when he was struck by a tow truck.
The pedestrian sustained severe injuries in the crash. He was rushed to Ben Taub Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the tow truck, a 29-year-old male, remained at the scene of the accident and cooperated with the police. The driver was not injured.
At this time, investigations surrounding the crash are underway.
