Houston, TX (May 27, 2022) – One man has been fatally injured due to a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Houston area on Monday evening, May 23. Around 5:35 p.m., the Houston Police Department was dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident off the Sam Houston Parkway.
Reports provided by authorities indicate that a man was driving a brown Kia Soul South in the 6600 block of South Sam Houston Parkway West at the service road when his vehicle became involved in a collision with a Ford F550 tanker truck.
The incident caused severe delays in the area after the police and firefighters closed off the roadway.
The driver of the Soul suffered severe injuries in the accident. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and pronounced him deceased.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
