Houston, TX (January 23, 2022) – One person has lost their life as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Northwest Houston on Saturday morning, January 22. At around 2 a.m., authorities were requested on-site at a crash on Highway 290.
Reports from the Houston Police Department show that a tow truck operator was helping a stranded vehicle on the side of Highway 290 in the area near Pinemont Drive. For unknown reasons, a vehicle passing through the area struck the operator before fleeing the scene.
The tow truck operator suffered fatal injuries in the accident.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
