Houston, TX (March 21, 2022) – One person has lost their life following an auto wreck in the Houston area on Friday afternoon, March 18. Just before 12:15 p.m., authorities were requested on-site at a traffic-related incident on Aldine Westfield Road.
Reports from the Houston Police Department show that a red Freightliner tractor-trailer was towing a flatbed trailer while traveling north on Aldine Westfield Road. As the vehicle entered the intersection of East Richey Road, it collided with a red Chevrolet Cruze.
The driver, a front-seat passenger, and a back-seat passenger in the Chevrolet sustained severe injuries in the crash. All three victims were rushed to area hospitals for care.
Authorities confirmed that the front-seat passenger succumbed to their injuries after arriving.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation by the police.
