Houston, TX (June 15, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Harris County claimed the lives of two people. At around seven p.m., on June 12, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on the Eastex Freeway.
Reports provided by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office show that a Kia soul and a truck collided in the 11,800 block of Eastex Freeway during the evening hours. The crash blocked all of the northbound lanes of the freeway as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
A man and woman, both in their 30s, suffered fatal injuries as a result of the accident and were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Two other victims were transported to area hospitals for emergency medical treatment.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
