Houston, TX – Two People Lose Lives in Train Crash on Beaumont Highway near Van Hut Ln

Houston, TX (April 18, 2022) – A train accident in Harris County has claimed the lives of two victims. At around 8 p.m., on April 16, emergency crews in Harris County were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident on Beaumont Highway.

Reports provided by authorities show that a collision between a Chrysler 300 and Amtrak train 1 occurred in the 12900 block of Beaumont Highway near Van Hut Lane. The impact of the crash caused the sedan to catch on fire.

A man and woman inside the Chrysler 300 were both ejected. The two victims sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene.

No other injuries were reported in this accident.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
