Humble, TX (March 23, 2022) – A pedestrian accident that occurred early Tuesday morning in Harris County claimed one person’s life. At around 12:55 a.m., on March 22, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a motor vehicle accident on Eastex Freeway.
Reports provided by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office show that a pedestrian was traveling near the southbound side of the Eastex Freeway during the early morning hours.
For unknown reasons, a 2016 Honda Civic was traveling south on the roadway and struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was knocked over in the lanes of travel and was struck by a second vehicle.
The pedestrian sustained severe injuries in the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the crash.
