Kerrville, TX (October 24, 2021) – Two people have lost their lives following an accident in the Kerrville area on Saturday, October 23. At around 3:20 p.m., authorities were called to the site of an accident at the Kerrville Airport where a drag-racing event was taking place.
Reports show that the driver of a car participating in the event lost control of their vehicle and left the runway. As a result, the vehicle struck a parked vehicle before crashing into several spectators.
An 8-year-old and a 6-year-old boy both lost their lives as a result of this incident. Eight other victims, identified as a 4-year-old boy, a 3-month-old girl, and four others between the ages of 26 and 46 years, were all transported to area hospitals for care. Two others were treated for injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
