Kilgore, TX (June 8, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Tuesday morning in Greg County has claimed one man’s life, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
At around six a.m., on June 7, DPS was dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Texas State Highway 31. Reports provided by DPS indicate that a 2020 Volvo truck-tractor trailer was traveling on Texas State Highway 31 when it became involved in a collision with a 1999 Toyota Solara near the entrance ramp for Interstate 20.
The Toyota became stuck partially under the trailer of the Volvo. The driver of the Toyota, a 21-year-old man from Longview, sustained fatal injuries as a result of the accident.
The 41-year-old driver of the semi-truck and his 41-year-old female passenger were both treated for injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
