Killeen, TX (November 15, 2021) – One man has lost his life following a motor vehicle accident in the Killeen area early Sunday morning, November 14. At around 4 a.m., authorities received the request for assistance on-site at an auto accident on Texas State Highway 195.

Reports from authorities show that a gray 2005 Infiniti G35 was stopped on the outer lanes of northbound Interstate 195. As the driver, 24-year-old Brandon William Cepeda exited his vehicle and stood near it in the roadway, a gray 2011 Hyundai Sonata traveling north on the roadway struck the Infiniti. The Hyundai then proceeded forward and struck Cepeda.

The impact of the crash caused the Hyundai to cross over the center lanes of the roadway and come to rest facing northbound while in the southbound lanes of the highway.

Cepeda sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Hyundai sustained injuries and was transported to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas for care. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.

Our thoughts are with the victim injured in this accident. We hope for their full recovery.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of Brandon Cepeda. Our thoughts are with them at this time.
