Lampasas, TX (February 11, 2022) – A two-vehicle collision reported on Tuesday afternoon has claimed one person’s life. At around 12:54 p.m., on February 8, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on US Highway 190.
Reports from authorities show that a 2012 Ford Fusion was involved in a crash with a 2021 Freightliner in the area of US Highway 190 and County Road 3080. The incident caused severe delays in the area as emergency crews closed off the roadway to clear the scene.
A 17-year-old teen was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White for the treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the Freightliner was treated for undisclosed injuries.
A third victim, identified as a 17-year-old female, was pronounced deceased at the scene due to her injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
