Lavaca County, TX – Four Killed in Plane Crash near Co Rd 462 & Farm to Market Rd 318 E

Lavaca County, TX (January 18, 2023) – A plane crash took place in Lavaca County that claimed the lives of multiple victims. On January 17, emergency crews were called to provide assistance at the scene of a plane crash that occurred in Yoakum.

Reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety show that at around 10:49 a.m., a plane crashed outside of the city while traveling to the Yoakum Municipal Airport.

The Piper Mirage single-engine aircraft touched down in the area of County Road 462 and Farm to Market Road 318 E.

The plane, which was owned by SCT Enterprises of Germantown, Tennessee, was carrying five people at the time.

Four of the five victims were fatally injured. They were pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of their injuries. One victim remains hospitalized in at Citizens Medical Center in Victoria in stable condition.

All five of the victims were identified as members of the harvest church in Germantown.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
