Lindale, TX (January 5, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Saturday evening in Smith County claimed one man’s life. At around 9 p.m., on January 1, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 20.
Reports from local authorities show that 36-year-old James Morgan was driving a pickup truck west on Interstate 20 when his vehicle became involved in a head-on collision with a semi-truck tractor-trailer.
Morgan suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck, 24-year-old Manveer S Brar, was treated for injuries at the scene.
