Log Cabin, TX (November 1, 2021) – One man has lost his life following a two-vehicle accident on Friday afternoon, October 29. Just before 1 p.m., emergency crews were notified that an accident took place on RM 3054.
Reports provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety show that 29-year-old Joseph Jones was driving a GMC Sierra pickup truck while towing a trailer east on RM 3054 when his vehicle became involved in an accident with a tractor-trailer, driven by 50-year-old Leonardo Losoya.
Jones suffered fatal injuries in the accident. He was immediately pronounced deceased at the scene. His two passengers, 30-year-old Robert Booker and 44-year-old Michal Rapp were both transported to a hospital in Athens for the treatment of injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
