Longview, TX (January 11, 2022) – A two-vehicle accident reported in the Longview area has claimed one woman’s life on Friday afternoon, January 7. At around 12:20 p.m., authorities were called to the site of an auto accident on Gilmer Road.

Reports from the Longview Police show that a Ford pickup truck was traveling south on Gilmer Road when it collided with a Buick passenger vehicle at the intersection of Gemi Drive.

The driver of the Buick, Suzanne Bardwell, sustained severe injuries in the accident. She was rushed to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The driver of the Ford was treated for minor injuries.

At this time, investigations surrounding the cause of the crash are underway.
