Lubbock, TX – 82nd St Crash near Slide Rd Takes One Life

Lubbock, TX (December 13, 2021) – One person has lost their life following a motor vehicle accident in the Lubbock area on Friday morning, December 10. At around 6:30 a.m., authorities were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a collision on 82nd Street.

Reports from local authorities indicate that a collision between a Ford Fusion and a Ford Expedition occurred in the 8200 block of Slide Road at the intersection of 82nd Street. The Fusion was then struck by a southbound Ford F-250 pickup truck.

The driver of the Fusion suffered fatal injuries in the accident. The victim was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Expedition was transported to University Medical Center for the treatment of injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
