Lubbock, TX – Crash on Marsha Sharp Freeway near I-27 Takes Life of Destiny Okoronkwo

Lubbock, TX (December 8, 2021) – One person has lost their life as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Monday morning in the Lubbock area. Just after 6 a.m., on December 6, the Lubbock Police Department was notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Marsha Sharp Freeway.

Reports show that a Ford Fusion was traveling west on Marsha Sharp Freeway when it collided with a Chrysler 200 near the Interstate 27 access road.

The driver of the Ford, 19-year-old Destiny Okoronkwo, sustained fatal injuries in the accident.

The driver of the Chrysler, 27-year-old Karlonte Jackson, and a passenger in the vehicle were both injured.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
