Lubbock, TX (April 8, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Lubbock area has claimed one man’s life, according to the police. At around 10:09 a.m., on April 6, emergency crews were called to the site of a crash on Avenue A.
Reports provided by local authorities show that a 56-year-old man was driving a pickup truck north on Avenue A. At the same time, a second pickup truck, driven by a 64-year-old man, was traveling south on the same road.
For unknown reasons, one of the vehicles crossed over the center lines and struck the second pickup truck.
One driver suffered fatal injuries in the accident. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The second victim was treated for minor injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation by the Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit.
