Lufkin, TX (December 7, 2021) – A pedestrian accident reported in the Lufkin area has claimed one man’s life on Sunday morning, December 5. At around 1:30 a.m., authorities were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on North Timberland Drive.
Reports show that an adult male pedestrian was attempting to cross North Timberland Drive at the intersection of Paul Avenue. For unknown reasons, the man was struck by a passing vehicle. The vehicle fled the scene without stopping to assist the pedestrian.
EMS responded to the site of the accident and rendered aid to the pedestrian. He was transported to a local hospital where he passed away from his injuries.
