Midland, TX (January 13, 2022) – An auto accident reported in the Midland area has taken one man’s life on Wednesday morning, January 12.
Reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety show that 39-year-old Ian Smith was driving north on Texas State Highway 349 when his vehicle collided with a second vehicle. A third vehicle then became involved in the crash.
Smith and the drivers of the two other vehicles, 77-year-old Joe Lopez and 55-year-old Bobby Trew, were all injured.
Smith was declared deceased at the scene as a result of his injuries. Lopez and Trew were rushed to area hospitals for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
