Midland, TX – Woman Killed in Highlander Crash at Big Spring St & Mockingbird Ln

Midland, TX (March 9, 2023) – On Wednesday, March 8, a woman was killed following a crash involving an alleged drunk driver in the Midland area. 

The deadly accident took place at the intersection of Big Spring Street and Mockingbird Lane at around 9:50 p.m. It was reported that a 34-year-old Midland woman was driving a Toyota Highlander and was traveling near the intersection when she was hit by a Ford F-350 pickup truck attempting to make a left turn.  

The 21-year-old Midland man driving the Ford pickup reportedly failed to yield to the highlander. The woman was taken to Midland Memorial, where she was later pronounced dead.  

The other driver was later charged with intoxication and manslaughter. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is in progress.
