Milam County, TX (October 3, 2022) – A 28-year-old woman from Tyler, Texas, has died following a traffic collision that took place in Milam County on Friday afternoon. On September 30, emergency crews were called to the site of a collision that occurred on US Highway 79.
According to local news reports, a 28-year-old woman was driving a 2010 Chevrolet cobalt West on US Highway 79. For reasons unknown, her vehicle collided with a 2000 Toyota Corolla.
The woman was fatally injured in the crash. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and pronounced her dead as a result of her injuries.
The driver of the Corolla, identified as a 78-year-old man from San Antonio, Texas, suffered serious injuries. He was transported to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas, where he underwent emergency care.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash at this time.
