Overton, TX (December 10, 2021) – One woman has lost her life and a man was left seriously injured as a result of a head-on collision on Tuesday morning, December 7. At around 11:05 a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety was notified that a crash took place on Texas State Highway 135 that required assistance.
Reports from authorities show that 55-year-old Tammy Young was driving a 2015 Nissan Altima South of Texas State Highway 135 when it collided head-on with a 2021 Ford F-150.
Young sustained severe injuries in the accident. Authorities arrived at the scene and pronounced the woman deceased from her injuries.
The driver of the Ford, Richard Allen, was transported to a hospital in Tyler for the treatment of serious injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
