Palestine, TX – Joe Miller, Mary Miller & Tiffany Scroggins Lose Lives in TX-19 Crash

Palestine, TX (January 23, 2022) – Three people have lost their lives as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Anderson County on Friday afternoon, January 21. At around 2 p.m., authorities were called to the site of a crash on Texas State Highway 19.

Reports from local authorities show that a 2014 Ford F-150, driven by 38-year-old Tiffany Scroggins, was trying to pass a 2008 Dodge Caravan driven by 72-year-old Cora Sterling when it collided head-on with a 2021 Subaru Outback, which was driven by 67-year-old Joe Miller.

Miller and his passenger, 61-year-old Mary Miller, were both rushed to Palestine Regional Hospital where they were pronounced deceased from their injuries.

Scroggins was transported to Palestine Regional Hospital where she died from her injuries.

Sterling and her passenger, 72-year-old Barbara Rentie, were both transported to the same hospital for care.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
