Rhome, TX (July 6, 2022) – One man has lost his life as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Wise County. At around 5:15 p.m., on July 3, the Texas Department of Public Safety was dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Texas State Highway 114.
Reports provided by authorities show that a 2006 Chevrolet pickup truck entered the intersection of Texas State Highway 114 and County Road 4489. As the vehicle failed to yield the right-of-way to a 2007 Ford pickup truck, the two vehicles collided. The incident caused severe delays in traffic throughout the area.
One person involved in the accident, identified as a 32-year-old male from Boyd, Texas, suffered fatal injuries as a result of the accident. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. His passenger, a 52-year-old woman from Boyd, Texas was transported to JPS Hospital in Fort Worth for emergency medical care. No other injuries were reported as a result of this accident.
