San Antonio, TX – Driver Ejected, Killed in Pileup Crash at I-10 & Medical Dr

San Antonio, TX (February 19, 2023) – A multi-vehicle collision in San Antonio left one person dead on Thursday morning, February 16. 

The deadly accident took place on Interstate 10 near Medical Drive at around 2:30 a.m. It was reported that a black 2014 Cadillac CTS hit a rock on the roadway, and this caused the driver to hit a concrete wall. The vehicle overturned, and the driver was ejected. 

An orange Camaro then hit the overturned vehicle, and a silver sedan collided with a tree. The first driver was transported to University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The deceased party was identified as 20-year-old Aaric Arias. 

The other two drivers were arrested under suspicion of driving while intoxicated. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
