San Leon, TX (December 7, 2021) – Authorities have identified the man who lost his life in the San Leon motorcycle accident on Tuesday as John Redfield.
Reports from authorities show that at around 7 p.m., on November 30, John Redfield was riding his motorcycle on Bayshore Drive. As his vehicle passed the Saloon, a white sedan pulled into his path, resulting in the two vehicles colliding.
The female driver of the car pulled over her vehicle to help Redfield while waiting for assistance from emergency medical services. At the same time, a pickup truck pulled around the car and struck Redfield in the roadway.
The driver of the truck then fled the scene.
Redfield sustained fatal injuries in the accident and died at the scene.
The female driver of the sedan was arrested and charged with intoxicated assault with a vehicle.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
