San Benito, TX (February 7, 2022) – One man has lost his life as a result of a pedestrian accident in the San Benito area. At around 8:12 a.m., on February 6, emergency crews were requested on-site at a crash on Whalen Road.
Reports from authorities show that Jorge Daniel Solval was struck by a train in the 200 block of Whaley Road during the morning hours. Solval sustained severe injuries in the accident.
Emergency crews responded to the scene to render aid to the victim. However, he was pronounced deceased on-site.
At this time, the San Benito Police Department is investigating the accident.
